What we do with what you send us

The enquiry form

The form on the booking page asks for your name, a mobile number, the town the car is in, the service you think you need and anything else you want to tell us. All of it is optional except the name, the number and the town, because without those we cannot ring you back or work out whether we cover you.

When you send it, the message goes straight to the business as an email. It is not stored in a database on this website, it is not passed to an advertising network, and it is not sold. We use it to answer you and to run the booking, and nothing else.

The message button

The button in the corner of every page opens a small box that asks for a message and a mobile number, and for an email address if you want a written reply. The message and the number are needed; the email is not. It goes to the same inbox as the booking form and is treated the same way.

It is worth saying what it is not. It is not a chat product bought from anybody: there is no third party in the conversation, no script loaded from another company, and nothing that follows you between websites. It posts to this site's own server, which sends the email.

If you are applying for work

The hiring page has its own form and its own list. It asks for your name and a mobile number, and optionally the town you live in, the kind of work you are after, how long you have been doing it and anything you want to add. Only the name and the number are required.

It goes to the same inbox as everything else but is kept apart from customer bookings, so applications are not mixed in with people booking a wash. We use it to get in touch when there is work in your area and for nothing else. It is not a job advert and we are not promising an opening; ask us to delete your details and we will.

What the website itself records

The pages we wrote set no cookies and load no advertising. The server keeps ordinary access logs, and all three forms record the IP address a message came from so that the same connection cannot flood the inbox. Typefaces are loaded from Fontshare, so your browser makes a request to api.fontshare.com when a page opens.

Cloudflare, which is in front of all of it

This site is served through Cloudflare, and two things arrive from them rather than from us. They are listed here because we checked what a real browser gets, not just what is in our own files.

Cloudflare sets a cookie on autoagapay.com called cf_clearance. It is theirs, not ours: it records that the visitor passed their automated check, so a person is not asked again on every page. Our code cannot read it or switch it off.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs, from a small script they add at their edge rather than one we put in the page. Your browser fetches it from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It counts page views, referrers and browser types so the business can see which pages people use. It sets no cookie of its own, it does not follow anyone between websites, and it builds no profile.

Neither of those appears anywhere in the files this site is built from, which is worth saying plainly: this page claimed no cookies and no analytics until 25 September 2026, because the check behind that claim looked at our own build and at what a command-line fetch returns. Both are added for real browsers only, and one of them is invisible to the ordinary way a page reads its own cookies. The claim was wrong, and it was wrong in the direction that flatters us, so it is written down here rather than quietly corrected.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and messages stay in the business inbox for as long as they are useful, which in practice means while you are a customer and for a reasonable period after. Ask us to delete yours and we will.

Asking us about your information

Text 0991 544 7412 during opening hours, Monday to Friday, 10am to 9pm, and say what you want: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. You do not need to write it in any particular way, and you can ring the same number instead. The number is printed here rather than hidden behind a form because a request about your own data should not depend on us answering a form first.

Children

This is a service for car owners. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.
