What we need at your address

The usual worry about booking a crew to come to the house is that something will be missing when they get there. A tap, a socket, room to work, permission from the building. It is a fair worry and it stops people booking, so here is the short version before anything else.

We bring our own water. You do not need a tap, you do not need to move the car, and you do not need to be anywhere except wherever you already are.

What the crew brings

Water
The crew arrives with a water supply if the address has none. A tap is welcome and it is not a condition of booking, which is the part most people ask about first.
The tools and the products
The crew arrives with the tools and the products, the same on a wash as on a headlight or a chip repair.
The travel
We come to the car, so a travel fee applies on top of the service. Put the address in the form and we will tell you what it comes to before anything is booked.

What you do not have to do

  • Move the car.
  • Take a morning off.
  • Sit in a waiting room.
  • Drive anywhere or queue for a bay.

The car stays where it is parked. That is the whole point of the service and it is the reason the list above is short.

What is needed at your address, in three marks Nine lines, in three groups, each line carrying a mark. A tick marks the three things the crew arrives with: water if the address has none, the tools and the products, and the travel to you. A short bar marks the three things the service saves the reader: moving the car, taking a morning off, and queueing for a bay. An open ring marks the three things worth saying in the form: where the car will stand, whether the building has rules about outside crews, and whether there is a tap and a socket. A tick means it is on the van
A tap is welcome and it is not a condition of booking, which is the part most people ask about first.
A bar is something the service saves you
The car stays where it is parked, which is the whole point of the work happening where the car already is.
A ring means it is a question, not a rule
Where the car will stand, whether the building allows an outside crew in the car park, and what is there in the way of a tap and a socket. None is required. Each changes what gets loaded before anyone sets off.
Three marks rather than three lists, because the lists look identical in prose and mean completely different things. Nothing in the third group is a condition of booking.

What to tell us when you book

Four things, and none of them takes a second look around. They let us turn up with the right kit instead of finding out on your driveway.

Where the car will be standing
A driveway, a carport, a street outside the house, a space in a building. Say which it is in the form and we will come back to you about it before anything is booked, the same way we do with the travel fee.
Whether the building has rules about it
Some condominiums and offices allow outside crews in the car park and some do not, and a few want notice. If you are not sure, say so and we will work it out with you before anyone travels.
Whether there is a tap and a socket
Neither is required. Say what is there anyway, because it changes what the crew loads before setting off.
What you actually want doing
A wash, the inside, the paint, the glass or the headlights. The five pages below set out what each one covers, and the form has a box for the one you think you need and another for anything you are unsure about.
